The Swampscott Contributory Retirement Board will be holding a hybrid live and virtual educational forum to allow employees, retirees, Town Meeting members, and the public to gain a better understanding of the process the retirement board undertakes to calculate the town’s contribution to the Retirement System.
In addition, the board will explain the legal requirements and restrictions put in place by the Public Employees Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC) that directly impact the funding process and retirement benefits.
The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 25 in room B129 at Swampscott High School, 200 Essex Street. The forum will livestream on Facebook and on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/@townofswampscott .
The meeting can be attended through Microsoft Teams with the link https://tinyurl.com/y6zcevce
The retirement board is looking forward to a strong showing of interest and attendance.
